2021 Family BandFamily Band Red Wine
The aromatics of the 2021 Family Band pull you into a beautiful mystery with mandelbrot fractals of red, purple, and magenta Yeah! The deeper you smell, the more infinite the aromatic pattern becomes.
On the palate, the wine is a warm wooly vintage Pendelton blanket with the just right amount of stimulating scratch. Juicy. Toe Tapping exuberance as you are held in the delightful puzzle of, how can this be both pure and raw and beautifully sophisticated at the same time?
While drinking, your mind may run wild through images of Fall - covered bridges in parallel universes, where people speak in rhyme and autumn’s crisp rivers flow like songs from the deepest heart.
Looking at my tasting notes, there by the corner of the page is scratched "Metras on Mescaline." an ode to the legendary producer of deeply expressive Cru Beaujolais. The dance of flavors and the palette of colors in this wine is both stunning and surreal and provides a glimpse into the inner landscape of Yeah!
Medium minus bodied. Succulent. Bright acidity. A full prism of delightful red fruits leads into a lengthy fruit driven finish the hums of ancient ways.
Zin, Old Vine Grenache, and Older Vine Chardonnay? More please!
The name comes from these elements pulled together in a heartwarming song.
